Paul Adnitt
Paul is a pro-bono associate working for Action for Happiness.
After spending five years at the Department for Education and Skills (now Department for Education) working on adult basic skills, local authority interventions and children's services policy, Paul became Head of Performance and Equalities at The Learning Trust in Hackney. With responsibilities for strategic planning and performance management across education and children's services - together with overseeing a range of staff and management development initiatives - he played a key role in Hackney becoming one of the most improved educational communities in the country.
As a result of this experience working with a range of statutory services, Paul has developed a strong interest in exploring how more community-led programmes and organisations might provide solutions to long standing social issues. His work with Action for Happiness will also allow him to further pursue theories of meaningfulness explored whilst studying for his MSc in philosophy.
Away from work, Paul is a DJ, bass player, keen gastronome and moviegoer.
