Julie Caulier-Grice

Julie Caulier-Grice is a Research Programme Lead at the Young Foundation specialising in social innovation.

She is currently working on the TEPSIE project which will explore the theoretical, empirical and policy foundations of social innovation in Europe.

Previously, Julie worked on the Social Innovator Series which analysed ways of designing, developing and growing social innovations. She co-authored the Study on Social Innovation: for the Bureau of European Policy Advisors, The Open Book of Social Innovation, Social Venturing and How to innovate: the tools for social innovation. Before that, Julie co-wrote and edited a range of publications on ways of funding community activity, civil society's role in campaigning for social change and meeting social needs and innovating in the field of criminal justice.

Recently, Julie worked for Dialogue Café, a new social venture established by Cisco and the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations. Dialogue Café is a public videoconferencing network specifically designed for civil society.

Before working at the Young Foundation Julie worked on education policy at the Social Market Foundation, where she co-authored Fade or Flourish: how primary schools can build on children's early progress.
