William Davies is a Research Fellow in GAIn at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society, Oxford Business School. He is also an Associate of Demos, a participant in the NYLON research network, a Trustee of the Media Standards Trust and the Frank Haines Memorial Trust and an Associate Editor of Renewal.

He has written for The Guardian, The Times, The New Statesman, Prospect and various online publications.

He was previously a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research and a Researcher at The Work Foundation. He is the author of a number of think tank reports on the politics and social effects of new media.
