Tricia Hackett

Tricia HackettTricia is a Senior Associate working in the Communities and Housing practice at the Young Foundation.

She currently leads the Loughborough Junction School of New Resources project and has led action research and community engagement with Future Communities, and Tottenham Together: Voices from the Riots - a project commissioned by the Haringey Community Panel to engage local residents in conversations about the impact of the riots and how the community can recover and more forward.

She is also an Associate with Social Life, a new social enterprise founded by the Young Foundation which focuses on the social dimensions of place-making and sustainability in understanding how to accelerate local social innovation and in translating these insights into practice and policy.

Prior to joining the Young Foundation, Tricia was the Great Lakes Regional Coordinator of Fundraising for the American Friends Service Committee; a Quaker-values based international NGO focusing on peace, reconciliation, and development work. Other work includes managing community development projects in Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Mozambique and running an adult education programme for Latino immigrants in Chicago. Tricia has also worked as a congressional staffer in the US House of Representatives. She holds an MSc in Urban Development Planning from the Development Planning Unit at the Bartlett, UCL and a BSc in Political Science and Philosophy from Bradley University (USA).
