Caroline Donald

Caroline is the Associate for The Youth of Today Leadership Fund and joined the Young Foundation in April 2009.

The Youth of Today is a major youth leadership programme for young people aged 13-19, aiming to increase the quality, quantity and diversity of opportunities for young people as leaders of change in their communities. Funded by the DCSF, The Youth of Today is led by a consortium of leading organisations previously known as the National Body for Youth Leadership. This includes The National Youth Agency, British Youth Council, Changemakers, Citizenship Foundation, Prince's Trust, UK Youth Parliament and The Young Foundation.

Before joining the Young Foundation, Caroline worked for V, the Russell Commission Implementation Body, as a grants officer monitoring a variety of different volunteering programmes on the Matchfund programme. Previous to this, Caroline worked for SPW, an international development charity. She began by pioneering a volunteer HIV education programme in Zambia and moved onto setting up and coordinating dance4life UK - a programme that actively motivates and inspires young people to help tackle the global HIV pandemic through dance workshops and events.

Caroline currently volunteers for The Food Chain, a London charity that provides nutrition services including home delivered meals, essential groceries and nutrition advice to men, women and children who are chronically sick as a result of HIV related illness.
