Jacques Mizan
Jacques Mizan is a Senior Associate working on health.
His primary role is to identify, support and develop sustainable ventures in healthcare, bringing "grass roots" clinical, research expertise and service design expertise to the Health Launchpad team.
Jacques' current focus is on exploring and developing solutions to the challenges of health and ageing, largely informed by real issues that present in clinical practice. These solutions range from technology based solutions such as Tyze.com to urban regeneration initiatives, such as those developed through the youcankingston initiative. As well as utilising traditional research methods, Jacques draws on a range of asset based mapping tools to expose unmet needs upon which new services can be co-designed. There is strong interest in applying rapid prototyping methodology to service re-design and Jacques hopes to apply this to forthcoming work.
Jacques is a General Practitioner by training and continues to practice in inner city London. Jacques has recently been appointed as RCGP Clinical Commissioning Champion to the new Centre for Commissioning at the RCGP. As the NHS Hounslow Clinical Lead, Jacques plays a key role in supporting front line clinicians to deliver the Department of Health's vision for future healthcare provision.
Jacques is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, King's College London, and Leadership Fellow of The Caritas Project - a social enterprise dedicated to improving health and social care through design.
