Genevieve is an Advisor on The U.

Gen is part of the team developing The U, a new venture that aims to give people the skills and confidence to be better citizens through volunteer-led training on the high street in areas like first aid and conflict resolution.

Gen gained frontline experience working for the youth charity Kids Company. At Kids Company she had a broad portfolio of responsibilities in education, research and policy and implemented a series of projects aimed at increasing youth participation both inside and outside the charity. After leaving Kids, Gen went on to found GLUE, a social enterprise geared towards bringing disconnected stakeholders in civil society together: a dating agency for social innovators.

Gen has a doctorate from Oxford University and lectured at Roehampton University, Oxford University and the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, and currently lectures at Birkbeck, University of London on the MSc courses in Youth Participation and Citizenship.
