Lunchtime Seminar with Raphael Mokades
Raphael Mokades, director of Rare Recruitment, will give a lunchtime seminar focusing on the struggles individuals from less advantaged backgrounds have entering the employment market, despite educational attainment.
He will focus his discussion around two aspects of this problem;
(i) Social capital - what it is, why some people have it and some don't, and how the lack of it can hinder individuals in the employment market.
(ii)What employers - especially those recruiting new graduates - can do to focus on potential rather than on social capital in their recruitment practices.
Lunchtime seminars are open to the public and are free of charge. Please contact Sarah Hewes if you would like to attend.
