This event is to launch the Young Foundation's Taskforce Toolkit for Small Estates and the Policy Report.

This project identifies new approaches to tackling long‐standing problems in small estates. There are three estates used in the practical work; South Shields, Coventry and Kent as well as other wider research and practical evidence.

The report recognises the importance in understanding why previous regeneration initiatives and ongoing work at neighbourhood level have not succeeded in tackling underlying problems of deprivation and poverty.

The toolkit aims to encourage local authorities, housing associations and other public agencies to think differently about how to break the cycle of entrenched poverty and disadvantage on small social housing estates. The toolkit has four main sections, each containing case studies, practical examples and a summary of the lessons learn from the project.
