Sharing Insight, Shaping Action: Funding and Measuring Social Innovation
Across the world, social innovators are confronting obstacles, succeeding, failing, and making a difference to social problems of all kinds. The diversity of social innovation is a major strength, but also a potential weakness - we must work to ensure that our finance tools are appropriate and that we can accurately assess and showcase what really works from a variety of social innovations, and what does not.
In partnership with the Gdynia Innovation Centre and the Social Innovation (SIX) Europe consortium, the Social Innovation exchange (SIX) is hosting a high profile event which will discuss the future of Social Innovation in Europe. A select group of policy experts, academics, practitioners and innovators from across Europe will come together to validate the reports produced by the SIE consortium: Financing Social Impact: Funding Social Innovation in Europe and Measuring Social Innovation: turning assessment into action in Europe and around the world. Those participating in this event will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the debate on how European policy can best support social innovation on the ground. The outcome of these discussions will feed into the third and final report of the Social Innovation Europe initiative ‘Social Innovation and European Policy - Mapping the way forward'.
The event is by invitation only, is being organised by Euclid Network on behalf of the Social Innovation Europe (SIE) consortium in partnership with the Gdynia Innovation Centre and SIX Europe consortium and will take place in Gdynia, Poland.
