The Youth of Today Leadership Fund has launched Reaching Out, which will provide half a million pounds to third sector organisations aiming to build capacity and offer more leadership opportunities for young people in England. Approximately eight grants will be awarded by March 2010.

The Youth of Today has been created to help young people make a positive difference to society through leadership roles, training, and networking. The Youth of Today is funded and supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Familities and Communities and Local Government. It is managed by a range of leading organisations: The Young Foundation, The National Youth Agency (NYA), Changemakers, UK Youth Parliament, British Youth Council, the Prince's Trust and the Citizenship Foundation.
