Metropolitan metrics: Measuring and comparing London's success

The London collaborative has been working with network members and policy officers to help  test and develop thinking on the benefits, use and focus of a set of London wide measures of success. There is no shortage of performance and contextual data on London and its public services. At the same time, there is no accepted set of high-level indicators that public sector leaders and policy makers can use to judge London as a whole, in absolute and relative terms and as a basis for targeting collective action.

Our work to date on a possible 'balanced scorecard' for London's public sector is summarised here. The presentation includes ideas on domains to cover, potential datasets and a range of comparisons between London and other leading cities.

Work on London-wide measures of success is ongoing and a work in progress.
