Neighbourhood Taskforces Toolkit

This new report, published by the Young Foundation draws on the practical work with neighbourhoods over the last three years.  It explains the Neighbourhood Taskforce model, and describes how it worked in practice in two pilot projects, Limehouse in Tower Hamlets and the Chesnut Estate in Haringey.

The Neighbourhood Taskforce model is designed to help neighbourhoods acknowledge and tackle underlying, sometimes subtle, areas of conflict.  This is sometimes between community groups, residents and service providers or between all three.

It outlines what a Neighbourhood Taskforce is, emphasising the implementation of a time-limited approach and a focus on practical action and explains the reasons behind why communities would need a Taskforce before continuing on to demonstrate how you can set up your own Taskforce.
