FixMyStreet wins award

On Tuesday 24th July, at the annual New Statesman New Media Awards, FixMyStreet won the award for the best Contribution to Civic Society. FixMYStreet is a joint project with mySociety and The Young Foundation.

Tom Steinberg from mySociety and fellow at The Young Foundation said;

'The judges were impressed at the open source nature of the petitions site, and the “deceptive simplicity” of FixMyStreet. This is now the third year in a row we’ve won the Civic Society award - TheyWorkForYou won in 2005, and WriteToThem in 2006, so we’re obviously doing something right.'
