Internship Opportunities

We are currently accepting applications for internship placements during the Autumn for the Research team, Launchpad and the Neighbourhoods and Local Innovation team. The Young Foundation is looking for interns to work within its three teams on a number of projects ranging from health, education, social needs, social innovation, criminal justice, community empowerment, wellbeing and the London Collaborative. Our projects vary in size, scale and approach so there is never a typical placement. Consequently, interns must exhibit a willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks.

We are looking for interns who can demonstrate:

  • excellent analytical skills
  • initiative
  • the ability to present information and ideas clearly
  • the ability to manage a varied and changing workload
  • good communication skills (including the ability to liaise with external partners) 
  • the ability to work as part of a team and individually on research tasks
  • previous independent research experience
  • project management experience (e.g.organising a group or initiative at university)
  • an understanding and genuine commitment to our project areas

As an Intern, your tasks will be likely to include:

  • conducting literature searches and reviews on emerging ideas
  • researching case studies on a particular theme 
  • drafting articles, briefings, presentations, speeches and other documents
  • organising and attending meetings, interviews, events and seminars where appropriate
  • helping to draft media materials including items for the website
  • liaising with team members and external consultants
  • any other tasks as they arise
