The Collaborative City: Working together to shape London's future, March 2008

This joint report launched the London Collaborative to stakeholders.
It was designed to provoke reactions, debate and ideas as the content of the programme and areas for collaboration were identified.

The Collaborative City: Future Scenarios, March 2008

This report accompanied the launch report (above) and includes the six scenarios developed as part of the early London Collaborative work, along with an account of the process by which the scenarios were developed, and an indication of how they could be used.

This report should be read alongside Future Trends evidence review which offers an analysis of more than 50 studies about the future of London.

This paper offers a snapshot of work in progress (as of Jan 2008) on the scenarios that were developed at the start of the Collaborative.

Developing leadership capability for a Collaborative City, April 2008

This explores the increasing requirement for leaders to make complex judgements, to rethink and redesign systems, and to find integrative solutions that make sense from several different perspectives. It identifies the need to develop a stronger ‘problem-solving capability' across the city, and a greater self-awareness about mental models, to equip the next generation of leaders.

A Collaborative City? A snapshot of current collaboration across the public sector in London, April 2008

A Collaborative City sketches a picture of capacity for joint and strategic working across tiers of government and public services in London in 2008. It draws on views of chief executives and the London Leadership Network.

Metropolitan metrics: Measuring and comparing London's success, April 2009

The London Collaborative worked with network members and policy officers to help test and develop thinking on the benefits, use and focus of a set of London wide measures of success.

This presentation includes ideas on domains to cover, potential datasets and a range of comparisons between London and other leading cities.

Incentive cards and behaviour change in London, November 2009

This paper by the Young Foundation considers the opportunities to influence the behaviour of Londoners through a pan‐London smart card which is currently subject to a wider feasibility study. The paper explores the theory of behaviour change, the evidence of the success of incentive cards, and the appetite amongst policy makers and practitioners in London for developing a behaviour change scheme as part of the proposed London Card.

Innovation and ideas development workshop on youth unemployment, Dec 2009

This paper summarises the applying innovation methods session which looked at user journey mapping and youth unemployment. The objective was two-fold: to learn more about a specific innovation method, in this case user journey mapping, and to generate new ideas for tackling a key challenge, youth unemployment in the capital.
