The Youth of Today Youth Leadership Fund: In Numbers (June 2011)

The Youth of Today was a two-year programme (March 2009 to March 2011) delivered by a consortium of seven leading youth organisations: The National Youth Agency (NYA), Changemakers, UK Youth Parliament, British Youth Council, The Prince's Trust, The Citizenship Foundation and The Young Foundation.

Together, the consortium aimed to increase the quality, quantity and diversity of opportunities for young people as leaders of change in their communities. This overview relates to the work of the Young Foundation in managing the Youth Leadership Fund (YLF), a £1 million fund designed to enable young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop new leadership skills. The total grant pot was divided between two individual funds, Reaching Out and Scaling Up.

This report sets out simply the reach of the Youth of Today Youth Leadership fund, and how, as a direct result of their learning from The Youth of Today, grantees went on to raise £1, 227, 879  to expand and develop their youth leadership programmes.
