The Young Foundation has been commissioned by the Department of Health to develop a valuation model to measure and assess the impact of service innovations in terms of economic and social benefit. This will assist the effective allocation of NHS resources, promoting promising fresh ideas and highlighting successful service innovations to scale.

An initial application of the model will be the new Regional Innovation Funds, for which the Young Foundation's Health Launchpad in partnership with NESTA, act as specialist advisors to support Strategic Health Authorities in their decisions.
