The Transition to Adulthood (T2A) Alliance, convened by Barrow Cadbury Trust in which the Young Foundation is a member, has released a report entitled Young Adult Manifesto. The manifesto argues that there is a need for a distinct and radically different approach to young people in the criminal justice system. In addition, the report argues that the approach to young offenders should to be responsive to their specific needs.

In addition, a Tory MP has backed the proposal to dramatically change the criminal justice system for young adults (18-24 age group) in Children & Young People Now.
