Job Title: Director of Finance and Corporate Resources

Salary: £60,000 – £80,0000 (depending on experience)

Location: Remote – UK based. Our offices are in East London but we welcome applicants from across the UK who do not wish to relocate. You should be willing to travel to our London office for team and project meetings up to six times per year (Covid permitting).

Hours: 5 days a week (flexible working will be considered)
Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 25 days annual, excluding bank holidays, an additional 3 days leave between Christmas and New Year and Pension.

About the role
The Director of Finance and Corporate Resources holds a key role in the organisation and is a key member of the senior management team. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources is responsible for finance, HR, facilities, and governance. Managing a team of three (comprising Finance Officer, HR Manager, and PA to CEO, Communications and Office Assistant) they are responsible for all current back office operations and, working closely with the Chief Executive, for leading the organisation through operational change and expansion. Due to the small size of the corporate resources team the role is “hands on”, with the Director contributing to day to day finance functions.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 12th May 2021 at 11:59pm. The selection process will consist of two interviews. The first interview will assess candidates experience and competencies against all essential criteria for the role. This will also include a practical task and presentation. First interviews will be conducted during the week commencing 17th May 2021.

Successful candidates will undertake a second interview. This will include the Young Foundation’s Treasurer. It may also include a meeting with the Chair of the Board of Trustees and other members of the Risk, Resources & Audit Committee. We aim to appoint the successful candidate by mid-July.
