Principal Researcher

Prior to joining The Young Foundation in September 2021, Dayo completed her PhD in politics, and worked as a teaching associate on policymaking modules at the University of Manchester. Her research argued that accessing the voices of racially-minoritised groups is the first step towards racial equity in public services, and examined how policies, practices and narratives contribute to achieving racial equity.

Before returning to academia, Dayo worked as an organisational development practitioner in the private and not-for-profit sectors, leading on change, learning, and diversity initiatives.

Dayo is passionate about bringing communities, policymakers and practitioners together to co-create solutions to long standing issues.

Outside of work, Dayo enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She likes travel, good food, and conversations with family and friends. Those who know her describe her as a woman on a mission with a big heart and laugh! Dayo is a trustee of Involve.
