On Tuesday 18 September, we’ll be talking myths and stories with Alex Evans, author of The Myth Gap.

What do stories do that ‘evidence’ and ‘data’ can’t? How have myths shaped our world today? What new stories and forms of association are shaping the politics of tomorrow?

In this time of global crisis and transition – of mass migration, inequality, resource scarcity and climate change – Alex Evans argues that it is only by finding new myths, those that speak to us of renewal and restoration, that we will navigate our way to a better future. At this event he will outline why stories, rather than facts and pie-charts, that have the power to animate us and bring us together to change the world
