Zain joined the Young Foundation in August 2020 as Programme Manager for Communities Driving Change – a pioneering approach to community-led health creation.
Zain brings his experiences in inclusive approaches to health and wellbeing from his time at Mind in Hackney, where he worked alongside local services (including schools and hospitals) to improve access to psychological therapies, particularly amongst local BAME communities. His interest lies in integrating counselling and person-centred approaches to working alongside programme participants.
Prior to Mind and his most recent job as an Art Director, Zain has worked in civil society roles across the globe – including British Council in India and the Cabinet Office in Japan where he was awarded a scholarship on their Community Core Leaders Programme.
Zain holds a BA degree in Religion, Philosophy & Ethics from King’s College London and a Graduate Diploma in Law.
