Today we are excited to announce our latest initiative – The Young Academy.

Building upon the legacy of Michael Young, The Young Academy will support early-stage social ventures working in the field of education to realise their potential to change the status quo.

Our research supports the view that our education system, in its current form exacerbates rather than addresses inequality amongst young people. The Young Academy will work with social ventures that influence the key areas of a young person’s life – the formal education institutions they access, their family, friend networks and the communities within which they live. The focus is on enabling social ventures working in the education sector to demonstrate how their approach leads to positive outcomes for young people.

The Young Academy is looking for disruptive social ventures that share our ambition to innovate and improve our education system. Whilst applications are not being taken at this time, they will be in the near future; however, we invite you visit our new website, register your interest and join in the conversation.
