Community Advisory Board

A youth worker and intergenerational practitioner with a background in community education, Ryan is based at the Citadel Youth Centre in Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Ryan’s main role at the Citadel Youth Centre focuses on intergenerational practice, and he is a passionate advocate of this way of working to enable communities to become better connected. He has an interest in digital intergenerational practice and new ways of hybrid delivery. His role involves being based in a local high school two days a week as their youth worker.

Ryan says: “I think it is important to be part of the Advisory Board in order to support the Institute in remaining relevant to communities across the UK.  I hope to learn more about how other communities have become better connected.  I am also excited to share some of the ways in which the Citadel has enabled members of the local Leith community to become better connected”.
