Jitinder is based in Washington DC. His work at Deloitte Consulting focuses on how governments and nonprofit organisations can drive innovation to improve citizen outcomes. He specialises in outcome financing and harnessing data to improve the impact of public funds.

Between 2009-2012, he led the Doing What Works program at the Center for American Progress – a progressive think tank in Washington DC – where he helped introduce Social Impact Bonds to the United States.

Prior to that, he worked as a senior civil servant in the British government – including leading the team responsible for working with the non-profit sector (now called the Office for Civil Society), and senior roles in the Department for Business, the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury.
