In 2009 we looked into entrenched deprivation on three small estates in England. We worked in Coventry, South Shields and Kent to explore how life can be improved for residents of three small, very different housing estates. We collaborated with residents, service providers, local agencies and the local authority to explore the causes of local issues and collectively discuss and plan practical ways to overcome them.
