The Young Foundation is delighted to launch the first impact report for the Young Academy, our innovation and investment programme for social ventures working to reduce educational inequality.

The report tells the story of the Young Academy since its launch in 2014, includes case studies of some of our inspiring entrepreneurs and their innovative ventures working on themes as diverse as new approaches to teaching and learning, raising aspirations towards employment and increasing engagement in science and maths. It also shares the programme’s key impact data. So far, we have incubated 52 ventures, which following the programme have: increased their aggregate turnover by 240%; accessed £4.5m of social finance, including £500,000 from our own fund; and scaled to benefit 160,000 young people and educators.
